Voorzitter draagt stokje over
Na ruim 4 jaar neem ik afscheid als voorzitter van de Nederlandse Stichting JUA en draag de voorzittershamer symbolisch over aan Lisette van der Heijden.
Ik heb met heel veel plezier de voorzichtige start van JUA en het Rescue Center in Watamu mogen ondersteunen. Gelukkig was ik daarin met de hulp van mijn twee geweldige medebestuurders van het eerste uur, Lara ’t Hart en Guido Bronkhorst. Inmiddels is Monique van der Zijde al weer een tijd de secretaris en zorgt Guido nog steeds voor de financiën.
Ik heb in goed overleg met Nelleke dit besluit genomen en in de zekerheid dat zij, Lisette, Monique en Guido samen met de JUA-ambassadeurs er in zullen slagen JUA verder te brengen als hèt Rescue Center van de regio Malindi. Vanaf 1 juli 2015 zal ik langs de zijlijn staande JUA steeds van harte blijven steunen en volgen in de dagelijkse “strijd” voor zelfbeschikking, zelfvertrouwen, geestelijke én fysieke gezondheid van die meisjes die daar zo hard aan toe zijn.
Ik wens mijn opvolgster, haar nederlandse team én het gehele JUA-team in Kenia de komende jaren heel vele succes toe.

After 4 years I shall resign as president of the Dutch JUA Foundation and hand the symbolic gavel over to my successor Lisette van der Heijden.
It was with pleasure that I was able to support the cautious first steps of JUA and the Rescue Center in Watamu.Luckily I had the best of my two co-directors of the first hour, Lara ’t Hart and Guido Bronkhorst. Meanwhile Monique van der Zijde has been our secretary for a while and Guido still takes care for the financials.
In good consultation with Nelleke I have taken this decision in the certainty that, Lisette, Monique and Guido, together with the JUA-ambassadors, will succeed in their ongoing effort to push forward towards JUA being the best and ultimate Rescue Center of the Malindi area.
Stepping down from office as per July 1, 2015, I will continue to support – standing along the sidelines – JUA wholeheartedly and follow the daily “struggle” for self-determination, self-confidence, mental and physical health of those girls in such desperate need of JUA’s help.
I wish my successor Lisette, her Dutch team and the entire JUA team in Kenya a lot of success.

Dimissioni del presidente
Dopo 4 anni rassegno le mie dimissioni da presidente della Fondazione JUA fondazione sede olandese e passo il testimone simbolico al mio successore Lisette van der Heijden.
Con piacere ho seguito il Centro Jua fin dai primi passi .
Per fortuna ho ricevuto il miglior sostegno da parte dei miei due co-direttori, Lara ’t Hart e Guido Bronkhorst. Nel frattempo Monique van der Zijde è stata il nostro segretario per qualche tempo e Guido si occupa ancora degli aspetti finanziari.
In buona consultazione con Nelleke ho preso questa decisione nella certezza che, Lisette, Monique e Guido, insieme con gli ambasciatori di JUA, riusciranno nel loro sforzo continuo per promuovere e far crescere JUA ed essere il migliore ed unico Rescue Center della distretto di Malindi.
Le mie dimissioni son ufficiali dal 1 luglio 2015, ma continuerò a sostenere – a latere – JUA con tutto il cuore e seguire la “lotta” quotidiana per il raggiungimento per l’auto-determinazione, fiducia in se stessi, mentale e la salute fisica di quelle ragazze che in condizioni così disperate hanno bisogno dell’aiuto di JUA.
Auguro al mio successore Lisette, alla squadra olandese ed alll’intero team JUA in Kenya grande successo.
